mini daddy issues
My biggest regrets? Definitely not as dramatic as su! Seriously, i don’t think anyone can beat su. I mean that guy ran into troubles more than anyone of us! At one point, he was punished by having to open and close the gates continuously for 1 hour! It must have really caught the joggers in his neighborhood by surprise and much curiosity. The moral of the lesson is: Open the gate when your dad is coming home! And to close it, DO NOT swing it close.
One thing common between my dad and his dad is their full-time discipline enforcement at home. Our dads are nice friendly and all on the exterior. They behave like the most carefree person ever. But back home, they are one hell of a disciplinary dad. Here’s five of my dad’s strangest set of rules for my family:
a. Drink PLENTY of water. Everyone one of us, me, my bro and my mum must bring a bottle of water wherever we go. Everytime when i texted him just to say hi, his typical reply would be: “OK take care. Drink plenty of water.”
b. Wash our feet when we get home. My whole family has this habit of going to the toilet every single moment we stepped into the house. “It is to keep the house to clean”
c. Cars must be washed and kept clean. I used to having to clean my car at least once a week. But now thanks to my super maid, she does it for me :D And the worse thing is, we had to wash it. Not just wipe it with soaked clothes. "Cos the grains of sand could actually scratch the car"
d. DO NOT drink. I’m not allowed to drink any alcoholic drinks beside shandy. But he himself does it a lot. He goes to KL like goin to work at night. Well he used to. He changed in that sense.
e. NO snacks. Well, not too much anyway. Seriously, I’m not allowed to have too many crackers or chocolatey biscuits or MILO! He thinks they are what the chinese say “hot”. Not good for the body. He says we could get ill or sore our throat.
Overall, he’s amazing though. I learnt a hell lot from him. One day when i have a kid or kids, I’m gonna be just like him! I love dad.
