The Chindians..: Review on Shareen Foo Shih Thing

how would you define it?

First Week of January 2002, I was one of the many new form 'fourers' looking at the noticeboards in MSPSBS Rimba, All there for the same reason.. All wanting to know what class we'd be in for the new Acedemic Year.. I quickly scanned the boards, obviously looking for my name and praying silently at the same time that Lee Sek Hao and Mahmud Fadhli would be in the same class as i was in.

I found the sheet with my name and was overjoyed to See Sek hao's and Fadhli's name as well. Then, i realised that our registration room would be the computer lab.. WOW... i was overjoyed. what more could we ask for? at long last, we had an airconditioned room, haha.. anyway.. after calming myself down, i decided to See who else would be in our class. Scanning the list thoroughly, i realised i either knew or have heard of this people oneway or another until i saw 'Foo Shih Thing @ Shareen'..I never recalled hearing this name before.

Anyhow, i thought to myself it must be one of those 'grace' type quiet chinese girls...(hehe)...Then, we all gathered up in Class and i dont really remember what happened next.. I just knew that Shareen was the Tall girl. Thats how we described her....

Anyway moving on, Fadhli and me were sort off wanting a way to befriend this girls ( Aziemah, Cindy, Patricia and Shareen ) and so.. a 'way' popped up. haha..We used to play football during recess in the English class, and while playing, very often we hit their table's with the small paper ball we kicked around.. and here's the best part. We came up with the same corny punchline..'oops, sorry, accidents happen'.. gave a heehehe and then continued playing..

The breakthrough of our friendship ( with the girls ) started one day, i dont really remember when.. but it was the day our class went through an ordeal 'what i prefer to call a crisis' haha it was the day a fellow classmate played an obscene clip of a movie using the projectors in the lab. I dont know how it happened, i dont why it happened, but what i do know is that i am thankful for that day.. That afternoon, was the 1st outing we had.. i remember going to Mc'Donald's with them, Wen and Az aside. heehe..

Thats when ,for the very first time i noticed Share.. And what a thing to notice. It was the way she ate her Cheeseburger..haha.. Its exactly as Sek Hao
mentioned below. Queer, is how to describe it, but cute all at the same time.. haha ( what a better way to start a friendship ) lol

Next thing i know, its 2006 December and while on the phone with her one night, i remember her telling me.. she was not looking forwards to the split up of the gang, the following year.. Thats when i realised.. what we've gone through in the last three and three quarter years .. i realised that ive never known what true friendship was all about before that. The gang apart.. it hit me that Shareen had become my bestest friend, She had been the one i went to in times of trouble, When i wanted advice and ofcoourse most importantly, someone who listened to my crap ...HAHAHAHA.. She did that all. haha.. Mind you, we did have our fair share in fights. On one fight, we ended up not communicating for almost 2 weeks.. until Cindy fooled me into calling her. she said 'you shouldn't do this to a girl. she very hurt wan" ....and when i called Shareen to apologise, the first thing she said was "HAHA,, I WON!!!!!!" .. hahaha.. useless ehh...

So now back to the earlier question i asked. how would you define friendship?

For me, friendship is like building a skyscraper.. a good skyscraper can withstand a category 5 hurricane (250kmph winds), it can witshstand an earthquake with a
reading of 8 on the ritcher's scale ( THAT IS very powerful! ) and why?

Yeap its the SOLID foundations.. in 'friendship terms' its TRUST... LOVE... FUN... FIGHTS... SYMPATHY... EMPATHY... LOYALTY... HONESTY and e.t.c
and just to top it up, Good skyscrappers normally have a HUGE WEIGHT about 3 quarters of the way up of the building.. this is to balance the structure during the strong winds.

FOR ME this 'HUGE WEIGHT' is MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING.. one of Share's strongest Quality's.. What i just mentioned above about friendship, are all the qualities
that lies within Shareen, her 'mental structure' haha.. Thats what makes Share so lovable, adorable, cute, whatever you call it.. and since im talking about skyscrapers, She has that quality too.a 'physical structure'.. She is tall and mind blowingly beautiful and finally for me, SHAREEN FOO SHIH THING is an icon for the whole group. The very purpose why skyscrapers are built..

Share, thanks for being a very Good friend.. you know you are..
